The man who died in an officer-involved shooting Sunday night in Mountain View has been identified.

Anchorage police spokesperson Renee Oistad confirmed Monday afternoon that it was Afuvai who made the 911 call. Case said the officer was waiting in his patrol car for backup when the man with the knife approached him.
