A man has been charged following what the police call the 'eggs-travagent' alleged theft of hundreds of thousands of chocolate treats in Telford.
Officers from West Mercia Police have congratulated themselves for saving Easter after recovering almost 200,000 stolen chocolate eggs.Police said the chocolate collection box, which also included other treat varieties, was thought to be worth around £40,000.Shortly afterwards, a vehicle -"presumably purporting to be the Easter bunny" - was stopped driving north on the M42, they added.
On Monday afternoon they said Joby Pool, 32, of no fixed address, had been charged with criminal damage and two counts of theft in relation to the chocolate.
