ICYMI: Police hate crime unit investigating defaced Pride crosswalk

Tire skid marks were left on a crosswalk at the intersection of 22nd Street and Fourth Avenue and reported earlier this week, a police spokeswoman said in a prepared statement.Michayla van de Velde, a board member with Saskatoon Pride who uses they/them pronouns, said they believe the marks were likely left on purpose.

“Anecdotally, I don’t see that many black skid marks on other crosswalks in Saskatoon.
