Police find sheriff's gear when they pull over a driver wearing ballistic vest in Bay Terraces [Breaking]
Sheriff’s officials are investigating how a driver arrested by San Diego police early Wednesday was able to obtain a sheriff’s uniform jacket and shirts, officials said.
“He had a sheriff’s uniform on,” said police Officer Lawanda Fisher. Officers called sheriff’s officials to check and confirmed the driver was not on an employee roster.OnScene TV video shows a person wearing a tan ballistic vest sitting in the back of a police car. The vehicle also had a radio scanner mounted below its front dashboard and decals that looked like bullet holes had been affixed to the sedan.
