A retired Columbus homicide detective shared his thoughts on the double murder of dentist Spencer Tepe and his wife, Monique, near Winland Park.

"I am sure they are having meetings and meetings, who is going to follow up on which tip," said retired Columbus homicide detective Dana Farbacher."It's horrible that it happened, but it may take time to solve," said Farbacher, who served over 20 years as a homicide detective before retiring in 2014.

He emphasized the pressure detectives face, stating, "It can be really hard, you still have people who want to try and run the investigation." Farbacher assured that detectives are diligently working on the case, saying, "When they have information they believe is pertinent, they will put it out." Police are currently sifting through numerous tips about a person of interest caught on camera near the Tepe's home around the time of the murders. Farbacher explained the process: "They have to filter through all these things. If they get 50 tips, you got to follow up on all 50, talk to people.
