Officers spotted him acting suspiciously

A drug dealer has been sentenced after he was caught by officers dealing class A drugs in a churchyard. While police walked along Raleigh Street in the Arboretum area in plain clothes after receiving intelligence of drug activity on March 25, they spotted Jack Nicole-Plackett acting suspiciously.

Nicole-Plackett, 26, of Raleigh Street, was then arrested but refused to reveal his address while in custody. A search was carried out at his address once it was established, with Nottinghamshire Police uncovering a large amount of crack cocaine and heroin hidden inside, as well as cash and weighing scales.

Nicole-Plackett appeared before Nottingham Magistrates' Court on March 26, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply a class A drug. He then appeared before Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday , where he was sentenced to three years and ten months. "This was a fantastic example of our teams using some of the different tactics available to us, in this instance by deploying plain-clothed officers, to catch offenders unaware. We were also able to take a large amount of class A drugs, namely crack cocaine and heroin, out of circulation and away from causing harm, which is obviously fantastic.
