A police car has been flipped on to its side as unrest and disorder broke out in Leeds.
Crowds have gathered in the Harehills area, with police saying they are dealing with an 'ongoing situation'. Councillor Salma Arif asked people to stay at home amid what officers described as 'pockets of disorder'. At 5pm on Thursday, officers responded to a 'disturbance' which involved agency workers and 'some children'.
'Some road closures are also being implemented and people are advised to avoid the area at this time. 'No injuries have been reported and enquiries are ongoing at the scene.' Images from the scene appear to show a fire has been set as crowds of hundreds of people have gathered. Barriers have been set up down the street and videos on social media show what appears to be a police drone in the air as well.
