A man was stabbed to death at SEPTA's Somerset Station on the 2800 block of Kensington Avenue in Philly's Kensington neighborhood, police saidAn arrest was made after a man was stabbed to death at a SEPTA station in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood. Police responded to SEPTA’s Somerset Station on the 2800 block of Kensington Avenue at 8:30 a.m. on Monday for a report of a person screaming.
When they arrived they found a 30-year-old man who was stabbed in the chest while on the westbound platform of the Market-Frankford Line. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:21 a.m.“Witnesses put the argument centered around some property that they were discussing...I can tell you the entire incident from start to finish, last about 30 seconds," SEPTA Police Chief Chuck Lawson said.
Police released surveillance photos of a suspect in the stabbing. Early Monday afternoon, investigators announced a person was in custody. “He has had a number of arrests for serious crimes in the past—at least five other arrests for assault that we know of. But in terms of what we were dealing with, just general disorderly behavior, antisocial behavior, he frequently doesn’t pay to get on the system," Lawson said.atlantic city
