A 25-year-old man was arrested in the fatal shooting of a man who was waiting for a ride in South Dallas. Travon McNeil was jailed Wednesday on a murder...

and was waiting for an Uber with the 19-year-old in the 2600 block of Meyers Street, near Al Lipscomb Way, when a man down the street opened fire in their direction, police wrote in an arrest-warrant affidavit.. The 19-year-old was struck in the leg.

Police previously said Williams was arguing with a woman at an apartment complex when she shot her in the abdomen. Police said she then ran to her car while firing in the direction of Hernandez and the 19-year-old woman. But police reviewed surveillance footage and believe that only the gunman shot toward Hernandez and the 19-year-old woman, the affidavit says.

The woman police say was shot by Williams identified McNeil as the man who opened fire, according to the affidavit. A detective who reviewed McNeil’s Facebook page saw that he matched the description of the shooter caught on surveillance footage, the affidavit says., Staff Writer .
