San Antonio police are facing a standoff with a subject who has barricaded himself inside a South Side home early Friday morning. Police did not say what caused the initial interaction with the suspect at around 5 a.m., but he barricaded himself inside a residence in the 8800 block of Topsey Street. Officials reported that shots were fired between the suspect and officers, but no hits were reported.
It is believed that the suspect is inside the residence alone and officers are working towards a peaceful ending.This is a developing story.
