Police responded to a call at 6 p.m. in the 300 block of Hemlock Road in the village of Grantham, where a domestic disturbance developed into a standoff where an armed suspect barricaded themselves into the house.Before the team had to enter the property, the suspect surrendered. There are no reported injuries. The suspect is now in police custody. The investigation remains active and charges are pending. Police say the suspect will be identified once charges are finalized and the booking process is complete. Police added that Cumberland County Communications, the Cumberland County Drone Team and the Messiah University Department of Safety also provided assistance."I want to thank all of our law enforcement partners who helped us bring this incident to a safe conclusion," said Chief Andrew Parsons. "I am also grateful for the patience and understanding of residents in the neighborhood.
