On January 2, police responded to a car accident with injuries. A driver was arrested and cited for operating a vehicle while impaired and underage possession of marijuana. A passenger was arrested and cited for underage consumption of alcohol and underage possession of marijuana. Officer conducted a traffic stop for expired plates on December 22 and found the driver had an active warrant through Avon Police. The owner/operator was arrested and transferred into Avon Police custody.
Disturbance: Coastal Drive On December 23, siblings were arguing about politics when their grandmother pushed the woman to separate her from her brother, who was voluntarily transported to the hospital for a psychological evaluation. A driver was stopped for speeding on December 24. He had a suspended license and outstanding warrants. The man was cited and turned over to the Avon Police Department. On January 1 around 1 am, an officer observed a driver following too closely to another vehicle westbound on Lake Road near Forest Hill Drive. During a traffic stop, drug abuse instruments were located in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and charged with drug abuse instruments, diving under suspension, and traffic violations. Officers were dispatched for a disturbance on January 1. Officers separated all parties. During the investigation, officers discovered bag of cocaine belonging to a man in the home. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Two vehicles were found with the rear driver-side wheels slashed on December 27
