Two teenagers and a man were wounded during a daylight shooting on the city's Near West Side.
Two teenagets and a man were wounded Wednesday afternoon in a shooting on the city’s Near West Side.
The teens, ages 16 and 17, and a 52-year-old man were all struck by gunfire around 3:50 p.m. in the 100 block of North Oakley Boulevard, according to Chicago police. The shooting happened near a small park and playground and a Catholic high school.The 16-year-old was struck to the buttocks and chest, while the older boy was struck in the thigh, police said. The 52-year-old man was struck near his armpit.
All three victims were taken by ambulance to Stroger Hospital in good condition. Police didn’t say whether the shots were fired on the street or from a vehicle, or whom they believe was the target.
