The Pokémon Trading Card Game has announced its next set for 2026. Called Perfect Order, it will release in March following the release of this year's first set, Ascended Heroes, in late January. Cards will be based on Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and the incredibly cool Mega Zygarde is already taking front and center.
Over on the official Pokémon website, a release date for Perfect Order has been confirmed, along with new ex cards, the Elite Trainer Box, and several other items that will be a part of the set's launch. When Mega Evolution - Perfect Order Cards Release Perfect Order will be fully released on March 27, 2026. Ahead of the release of the tabletop version, you'll be able to play with digital Perfect Order cards starting on March 26, 2026, thanks to the Pokémon TCG Live app, which is available for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. Prerelease tournaments for Perfect Order begins on March 14 at select local retailers as part of the Play! Pokémon program.What Cards For Perfect Order Are Confirmed Perfect Order will include four Mega Evolution Pokémon ex that are appearing in the Pokémon TCG for the first time: Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Starmie ex, Mega Clefable ex and Mega Skarmory ex. Cards of Meowth ex and Mega Zygarde ex have also been revealed already.Pokémon has confirmed the new set will include"over 120 new cards," but the numbering on Mega Zygarde ex goes up to 88, so there's around 36 additional cards to obtain beyond the standard numbering. Assuming all the info is correct, that means the exact number of cards in Perfect Order will be 124. There's always the chance additional surprises are in store. Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box, Products, & Preorder Info According to the official announcement, we'll be able to find Mega Evolution—Perfect Order cards in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and various collections at participating retailers worldwide. Booster packs and ETBs are always expected, but other confirmed items include a set that features a Chikorita promo and a Booster Bundle box. Ascended Heroes received tins, and various collector's sets or special boxed items seem likely for Perfect Order too beyond what's been revealed so far. The Elite Trainer Box showcases Mega Zygarde from Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and it will include a full art promo card of Tyrunt. The usual items like dice, card sleeves, booster packs, Energies, coins, and guide booklet are also included. If you preorder the ETB from Pokémon Center, you'll get a specially stamped Tyrunt promo in addition to the regular one. Ahead of release, preorders on Pokémon Center will go live, but if you miss out there, you can also get Perfect Order cards via prerelease tournaments starting on March 14, 2026, which will take place at independent retailers and hobby stores. After that, orders for the newest Pokémon Trading Card Game set will open up at larger worldwide retailers ahead of Perfect Order's full release.
