Pokemon Champions has launched on mobile devices alongside a major update to its competitive ruleset. Regulation M-B introduces 38 new Pokemon, 16 Mega Evolutions, and 15 new items, dramatically expanding the game's strategic possibilities and shaking up the meta.
The mobile version of Pokemon Champions was released on June 17th, arriving two months after its initial launch on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
This mobile launch coincides with the introduction of the game's first major competitive ruleset update, Regulation M-B. The update brings a substantial influx of new content, including 38 newly usable Pokemon and 16 new Mega Evolutions, aimed at refreshing the competitive meta which had become somewhat stagnant due to the limited Pokemon pool available at launch. Players can obtain these new additions through the Pokemon Ranch or by transferring them from other games.
Additionally, 15 new items are being added to increase strategic depth. The new ruleset will be in effect from June 17th to September 2nd, covering Season M-3 which runs from today until July 8th. A new Battle Pass also launches, offering Eelektross, Metagross, their Mega Stones, and cosmetic items as rewards.
The expansion of the roster, including Mega Eelektross and Mega Pyroar with unique abilities, is expected to provide competitive players with many fresh strategies and address earlier frustrations about limited options. This update marks a significant evolution for the game as it expands to mobile platforms
