The Philippine National Police (PNP) has been urged to be
“fair” and “objective” in granting travel passes to those traveling in quarantine areas, and scrap the “unnecessary processes” that would further burden the travelers, especially the overseas Filipino workers and locally stranded individuals .Quezon City 2nd district Rep. Precious Hipolito-Castelo said the presentation of a medical certificate should be “sufficient enough” for those who intend to return back to their provinces.
“I think it is sufficient na meron nang medical certificate. Tutal, hindi naman of probative value itong travel pass na ini-issue ng PNP e kasi sila po, ang kanila talagang trabaho is ay kanilang panatilihin ang public order and safety, hindi magkakagulo, peace and order, hindi ang pag-iissue ng travel authority o travel pass,” she added.
