Taking to his official X account, Anwar revealed that the new Sabah National Heart Centre was among the many initiatives he announced during his speech at the national-level Aidilfitri Madani 2024 open house event in Sabah’s capital city of Kota Kinabalu yesterday .Anwar asserted that RM80 million will be allocated to building the Sabah National Heart Centre, which will be second in stature only to the National Heart Institute in Kuala Lumpur.
The Prime Minister stressed that the cardiology facilities in Sabah are currently limited, forcing many Sabahans to come to Kuala Lumpur to receive treatments for cardiology-related illnesses or complications.Besides that, Anwar iterated that the Federal Government is working hard to eradicate hardcore poverty in Sabah through a close relationship with the State Government.
Not resting on its laurels, the Prime Minister said that more investments are needed in addition to the many initiatives implemented to attract tourists to Sabah and liven up the state’s economy.
