SERDANG, March 16 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today announced that Mass Rapid Transit Putrajaya Line users will enjoy free rides until the end of the month.
One of the government’s strategies is to reduce the burden of the people, he said during the launch of MRT2 Phase Two at the Serdang Depot. “Starting from 3pm today until March 31, we will not take payment from users of this MRT line,” he said. He then joked that this would allow Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, who was also present, to bring tourists around for free.
