Temperatures will top out close to normal for late March

) - Fire weather concerns remain elevated today due to very dry air, breezy northerly winds, and ongoing moderate to extreme drought conditions across parts of the region. These conditions create an environment where fires can start easily and spread rapidly, especially across inland areas with dry vegetation.

Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged, and extra caution should be used with grills, equipment, trailers, or anything that could produce sparks. Even small fires could quickly become dangerous under these conditions, so staying alert and avoiding open flames is especially important today.behind last night’s cold front, but the main story will be the wind and very dry air in place across the region. Northerly winds will remain breezy through the morning and early afternoon, with occasionalbefore gradually easing later in the day. Temperatures will top out close to normal for late March, making it feel comfortable outside, but the dry air and wind will create an elevated wildfire risk across inland areas. Overall, it will look like a beautiful spring day with clear skies and lower humidity, but conditions will be dry and breezy enough to allow fires to start and spread quickly if they ignite.and lighter winds as high pressure settles over the region. Temperatures will drop into the upper 40s and lower 50s inland and into the mid-50s closer to the coast. Winds will gradually shift and begin turning more easterly late tonight as the high moves east.Sunday will be warmer with mostly sunny skies as winds turn in from the east and southeast. Temperatures will climb back into the 70s, and the onshore flow will begin bringing moisture back into the area. While inland conditions remain dry and pleasant, the biggest concern will shift to the coast where aMarine conditions will also begin to deteriorate again as easterly winds increase, especially Saturday night into Sunday, leading to rougher waters and advisory-level conditions for boaters.. Monday will stay warm and dry with continued rip current concerns at the beaches, while by Tuesday scattered afternoon showers may begin to develop as deeper Gulf moisture returns. From Tuesday through Friday, a more active weather pattern sets up with several small disturbances moving through the region. This willmainly during the afternoon and evening hours each day. Right now, rainfall amounts look light and inconsistent, meaning the ongoing drought likely won’t improve much in the short term.
