Sunday will be the drier half of the weekend
Clouds quickly are clearing this morning, as a weak cold front moves south. Look for plentiful sunshine and seasonable highs around 66 degrees today. We'll see perfect weather for football this evening, with clear skies and temperatures in the 50s.Overnight, clouds will thicken, and rain will develop toward sunrise from west to east. Lows will fall to the upper 40s.
It may take a few hours after sunrise for the rain to arrive in southeast counties, but everyone will see rain by 10 or 11 a.m. The rain will be light to moderate in intensity in the afternoon and evening, and highs will reach the low 50s. Expect .50' to 1' of rain through Saturday night. Rain will taper early Sunday, as low pressure moves out to sea. It will be breezy and cool, with highs in the upper 50s. Cool weather continues Monday and Tuesday. A few showers are possible each day.
