‘Pleas to fix flood-damaged roads ignored,’ says DA in KZN | Witness

The DA has expressed concerns at the slow pace at which government is responding to the plight of communities currently without roads due to the floods. | WitnessKZN

According to DA KwaZulu-Natal spokesperson for transport, Sharon Hoosen, pleas from North Coast communities around the Sheffield area for the provincial Transport Department to fix damaged roads have fallen on deaf ears.

“The situation has now reached the point where community leaders in the Sheffield area, including business owners and farmers, have had to go to the extraordinary length of self-funding the repair of a large portion of the road.
