As part of its vision to transform itself from an automotive to a mobility company, the country's largest automotive manufacturer, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), partnered with PLDT Inc. for more intelligent car solutions. ManilaBulletin

"Through broader connectivity and technologies, such as the Internet of Things offered by PLDT Enterprise, digital adoption can create opportunities across priority sectors of the economy, such as the transportation industry,” PLDT and Smart President and CEO Alfredo S. Panlilio announced Friday, April 14.

PLDT, through its B2B solutions arm PLDT Enterprise, is firing up TMP’s newest suite of connected services, myTOYOTA Connect, with smart IoT eSIM solutions. The all-in-one customer mobile platform, myTOYOTA Connect, provides car owners and fleet business operators the ability to have more control over their vehicle for their safety.

Drivers can monitor their location, car condition and driver speed, among other features, through the app."Our partnership with PLDT brings us closer to our goal of a Connected, Automated, Shared, and Electrified mobility a reality to more and more Filipinos,” he stressed. Through the app, myTOYOTA Connect service can now be activated in the expanding lineup of select variants of Hilux, RAV4, Hiace, and Fortuner models
