A new game was just added to PlayStation Plus for free, and it’s being credited as a “perfect” title by its players. Sony’s subscription service is constantly getting updated with new games, as well as some removals.

For example, just recently, the company announced the free games for PS Plus in February 2026, even if some of the titles were met with criticism by members. Despite the dissatisfaction with some of the titles, there is one that is currently pleasing subscribers. The Exit 8 was just added to PlayStation Plus as a new freebie, and it is being praised by members, as seen in a post by rushdisciple on Reddit. The Exit 8 is a horror-driven walking simulator released in 2023. In it, you’ll walk through a liminal interpretation of a Japanese subway station, but you’ll be haunted by strange anomalies. The Exit 8 Is The "Perfect" PS Plus Game Subscribers Shower The Game With Praise The addition of The Exit 8 to PS Plus is recent, as the game arrived on January 20. According to the post on Reddit, it is “a great little horror puzzle game.” The user mentions that they wish it were “a bit more substantial” due to the fact that it can be beaten in under an hour. Even so, they highly recommend it. This sentiment is echoed by other players. As seen in the responses to the original Reddit post, user ToastBalancer calls it the “perfect PS Plus game.” They mention that if it weren’t part of the subscription service, they would likely not know or care about the game, much less purchase it. The game inspired The Exit 8 movie, which was not so well-received by critics as the game itself, but it shows how positively the game is seen. We Love A Game You Can Beat In An Hour The Exit 8 Is A Short PS Plus Game Even though we’re often pleased by large games with hundreds of hours of gameplay, small games also have a lot of value, as they can be started and ended in a single session – possibly a lunch break or a short period of a weekend afternoon. The Exit 8 is one of these games. As was previously mentioned, you can beat The Exit 8 in an hour or less, depending on how you tackle the creepy atmosphere. According to HowLongToBeat, the main story can be completed in just 40 minutes, but you can extend that playtime to one hour if you’re going down the completionist path. This is, of course, the average, and you could take less or more time playing it. Subscribe to our newsletter for PS Plus short-game picks Want more picks like The Exit 8?
