A PS5 fan has used Korg's memorable cameo in AvengersEndgame to make light of console shortages with a hilarious meme.
Some Sony fans are still struggling to get their hands on a PlayStation 5, including those hailing from the MCU if one humorous Avengers: Endgame meme is anything to go by. Sony launched its latest cutting-edge console last November to rave reviews, with the PS5 now the fastest-selling console in US history. This console's popularity has continued, and while the PS5’s first-year sales figures fell short of the PS4’s, it still managed to outperform the Xbox Series X by nearly $2 billion.
For many people, actually getting a PS5 is easier said than done due to stock shortages. The many reasons for this include shipping issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and a shortage of processor chips that experts say could carry over into 2022. There is also the ever-present scourge of online scalpers, who use bots to quickly buy PS5 consoles the instant they are available to resell them for inflated prices.
Thanks to one fan, it seems that the PS5 shortage is even going strong in the fictional world of the MCU, though it likely has as much to do with Thanos erasing half of the universe’s population with the Infinity Gauntlet as it does stock shortages. There's also the simple real-life explanation that the production staff on Avengers: Endgame didn’t know what the PS5 would look like when they filmed the movie back in 2019.
