Graham Platner, the presumptive Democratic nominee in Maine’s U.S. Senate race, called his potential Pennsylvania colleague, Democrat John Fetterman, an a**hole on Sunday. Platner, asked during a Portland town hall about relationships he would form in the Senate, contrasted his approach to the chamber with Fetterman’s. The lawmaker has become increasingly isolated within the party and derailed some Democratic initiatives.

“As you can all probably tell, I got a lot of criticisms about the way this government functions. But in order for us to make it functional, we’re gonna have to do stuff,” Platner said.

“And you can’t just go down there and be John Fetterman and ... just sort of be an a**hole. ”his Democratic colleagues on a variety of fronts, calling them out on Fox News and social media for opposing some of the Trump administration’s agenda items. Fettermanhis party in April, after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner assassination attempt, of engaging in “Trump Derangement Syndrome” when it reaffirmed its opposition to the ballroom.
