Plans are moving forward for 195 rental houses to be built on the site of a former Telford school, after planning permission was granted.

“The site comprises of 195 single family homes for rent on the old Charlton School,” the planning application says. “The name and branding for the site has been heavily influenced by preserving the history of the area and the site itself. Throughout the naming and branding there are references to the site previously being a school .

The site access is planned to be from Severn Drive and Harley Close and the developer previously anticipated that the first occupants would be in their homes nine months after work starts on the site.
