“Right now, there are more than 1,000 children in foster care in Dallas and Collin County,” Jennifer Creech, the Local Good Center’s advocacy director, said in a prepared statement. “People think becoming a foster parent is the only way to support these kids, but that’s not true. No matter your age, background, relationship or financial status, there is a way for everyone to care for the foster community.
