Breaking: Plano man found guilty of killing sister, her boyfriend over inheritance money
Blake Ryan Richards, 30, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole Thursday inside a McKinney courtroom.
The 12-person jury — nine women and three men — deliberated for more than two hours over two days. Richards was solemn as State District Judge Andrea Thompson announced the verdict. Escalante’s brother, Gilberto Cooper, told the McKinney courtroom his brother’s killer “deserves redemption.”Monique Ross-Wolf called her son’s death a “walking nightmare” but urged his killer to find salvation in an impassioned plea.
