Plano police officers responded about 10:30 p.m. to the 2300 block of Monticello Circle, near the intersection of Custer Road and West Park Boulevard for a reporting shooting incident, according to a news release from the department. When officers arrived, a man was found inside a home with an “apparent gunshot wound to his upper body,” police officials said.
Plano Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. Officers were not able to immediately locate a suspect at the home, but officials said an unidentified person was taken into custody a short time later.Officials said the shooting appears to be a domestic violence incident and added there are no public safety concerns with the suspect in custody. The names of the people in the incident are not being released until officials notify next of kin.
