A hoax bomb threat targeted a business on Airport Way.

Published: Mar. 15, 2024 at 6:44 PM AKDTFAIRBANKS, Alaska - A building on Airport Way was targeted in a hoax threat on Friday, March 15.

At 6:15 a.m. multiple businesses in Fairbanks received an email stating that bombs had been put inside Planet fitness located at 1255 Airport Way. The email also stated there was intent to blow up the building. In response to the threat, the Fairbanks Police Department checked the building but found no bombs inside.

Having found no legitimate threat to people or property, FPD called the threat “bogus” and determined the sender of the email was harassing the business.No suspect has been identified at this time.
