Two aircraft from Houston collided in the air at a Dallas air show before rapidly descending, crashing and causing a large fire with big plumes of black smoke, according to The Commemorative Air Force. Emergency responders are working the scene.

The group, a nonprofit that says it restores historic combat aircraft for education and entertain, was hosting the weekend-long Wings Over Dallas WW II Air Show,It identified the aircraft as a B-17 and P-63 Kingcobra, which were involved in a mid-air collision at Dallas Executive Air Force. The group did not have information on the status of the flight crews. Emergency responders are working the scene.
"The Commemorative Air Force is working with local authorities and the FAA, and the NTSB will conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident," the post said.
