FSG ownership criticised as plane flies over Anfield during Liverpool vs Tottenham LFC
A plane has been spotted above Anfield criticising Liverpool’s FSG ownership during their match against Tottenham.in the latest demonstration against the club’s hierarchy.It read: “LFC-SOX-PENGUINS-SAME PROBLEMS FSG OUT”.
The American owners are vastly unpopular with sections of the fanbase, which was exasperated by the attempts to break away and form the European Super League.FSG, led by John Henry and Tom Werner, also own the Boston Red Sox and the Pittsburgh Penguins, referred to by the banner.Curtis Jones opened the scoring in the third minute before Luis Diaz doubled the lead soon after.
Harry Kane grabbed one back but it is another shambolic start to an away match for Tottenham, who were 5-0 down to Newcastle last week after 21 minutes.
