Police limiting nightly access to streets along St. Mary’s Strip as part of ‘test’ to curb crime, traffic
Businesses with parking lots in the back will have access blocked off according to this map shared by SAPD.Nighttime access to residential streets along the St. Mary’s Strip will be blocked and monitored by police starting Thursday evening as part of a traffic study aimed at curbing crime and littering.
Access to the YMCA-TriPoint parking lot will also be limited. The recommendation for people headed to the Strip: Plan ahead and take alternate routes. Bravo said he pushed for the study after listening to residents from the The Tobin Hill Community Association, which approved the measure on March 17.
