Ranhill SAJ also said it will be preparing 10 additional lorries with jumbo tanks to anticipate a spike in water usage during the festive season.
The measures include having staff on standby round the clock, dispatching 28 tanker lorries statewide, stationing static water tanks in suitable locations and activating one cubic metre-capacity mobile tanks, it said in a statement on Tuesday .
“These proactive measures are taken due to the expected increase in demand for water supply and we want to prevent a repeat of past incidents of water disruptions during Hari Raya,” it said. Ranhill SAJ said it is continuously carrying out efforts to monitor all water assets and infrastructure to make sure that clean water is supplied to consumers smoothly.
