JOHOR BARU: Pemanis assemblyman Dr Chong Fat Full has quit PKR and pledges support for the new coalition state government.
His latest move has now made him the frontrunner to be the sole Chinese representative in the upcoming state exco line-up. His decision now changes the state's composition with the coalition having 29 assemblymen compared with 27 from Pakatan Harapan. Dr Chong, a dentist, made his decision known during a special press conference with Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad.
There had been talk of “horse trading” taking place to woo Pakatan Harapan assemblymen, and especially a Chinese, to ensure that the community would be represented in the new state exco line-up.Hasni said they submitted more than 10 names for the exco line-up to the Johor Ruler.
