PKR expected to get one of two vacant Selangor exco seats, say sources

KLANG: There is much anticipation that PKR will get the Selangor executive councillor seat vacated by state Bersatu chief Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari.

Besides the seat vacated by Rashid, there is also another seat vacant with the expulsion of Ampang Jaya assemblyman Haniza Talha from PKR recently.

"We heard that one of his portfolios will be Malay customs and heritage, which was under Datuk Rashid before," said the source. Three of the Malays and one Chinese are from PKR, while two more Malays and the remaining two Chinese are from Amanah and DAP respectively.An online portal recently queried as to why PKR, which is purportedly a multi-racial party, has a Chinese representative but not an Indian in its exco line-up.

"Personally, I believe it would be a welcome move which would be reflective of PKR's multi-racial identity," said Abdullah Sani when contacted.
