KUCHING, June 23 — Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin today said that PKR cannot take legal action against him for leaving the party after winning on its ticket in the 14th general election in 2018.“I refused to sign last time,” he said when contacted byPKR Information Chief Fahmi Fadzil earlier today urged the 10 MPs to heed today’s High Court ruling against former Ampang MP Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin who was ordered to pay the party RM10 million for breaching the bond.
In 2020, PKR sued Zuraida for breaking a bond by leaving the party after winning a seat in the 2018 general election under the party ticket. Apart from Willie and Zuraida, the other MPs who left PKR were Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah , Baru Bian , Datuk Kamaruddin Jaffar , Datuk Mansor Othman , Datuk Rashid Hasnon , Datuk Seri Dr Santhara Kumar , Ali Biju and Jonathan Yasin .
