Pixar CCO Pete Docter says that the company is not planning to make any live-action or photorealistic movie remakes at this point in time.
, Docter, the chief creative officer for Pixar, was asked if he was at all interested in adapting any previous movies from the company into live-action format.“No, and this might bite me in the butt for saying it, but it sort of bothers me. I like making movies that are original and unique to themselves,” he said. “To remake it, it’s not very interesting to me personally.”
While Pixar may not have any plans to remake any of its movies in the near future, there’s been no shortage of live-action and photorealistic adaptations from Walt Disney Pictures over the past couple of years.
