The Pittsburgh Steelers have clear intentions they must carry out on offense and defense.
The Pittsburgh Steelers might be favored to go on the road and defeat the Denver Broncos in Week 2, but if they do not hone in on their keySean Payton, the Broncos’ head coach, has been a fixture in the NFL for over 15 years as a head coach. He started with the New Orleans Saints, guiding Drew Brees to a Super Bowl title and some of the most productive seasons in NFL history.
"I think last week was more like the same two personnels, but doing different stuff out of those personnel,” linebacker Patrick Queen said. “I think with Sean’s offense, it’s more of different looks, different personnel, different things that we do out of different things. Nothing’s gonna be the same, and then you’ll have tendencies here and there. But it’s not a lot, it’s just a few. So it’s maybe two plays that you know that you can capitalize on.
“You just can’t come out blitzing every single play. You gotta see how they wanna run a game, and we just gotta try to match what they wanna do,” Queen said. “I don’t think with all the movements and stuff, trying to get Bo Nix out of there, to get him some good throws, to boost his confidence. It’s just a battle that we gotta be ready for. Whatever call it is, whatever stuff that we gotta do, that’s what we’re going to be ready to do.
“They have a group of solid safeties,” Freiermuth said. “You know, the gameplan last week focused on the sidelines, but it’s different every week. So, I’m confident every week I go out there.”
