The Pittsburgh Steelers' offense could reach a poor stat that would equal the incompetence of the Matt Canada era.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson hands the football off in the first half against the Cleveland Browns during Thursday Night Football.offense could match a stat set by the Matt Canada Steelers . Throughout his first 11 games as the Steelers ' offensive coordinator,If Pittsburgh can not get an opening drive touchdown in Cincinnati, they will equal the worst stretch of Canada’s offensive coordinator tenure, according to Alex Kozora of Steelers Depot.
Ironically, the last time the Steelers scored an opening drive touchdown came against the Bengals. It came last December when Mason Rudolph found George Pickens for a touchdown. The Steelers could use a fast start against the Bengals, too. Historically, though, the Steelers' offense has been much more productive in the second half than in the first half this season. That could be Smith making adjustments, but if Pittsburgh wants to keep up with some of the teams on their schedule, including a high-powered Bengals offense, early touchdowns would go a long way toward their pursuit of wins.
