The Las Vegas Raiders are in flux at quarterback after head coach Antonio Pierce benched starter Gardner Minshew for Aidan O’Connell, but they have worries on the defensive side of the football, too.
Wilkins, a former star with the Miami Dolphins, shined in the early portion of the year with the Raiders. The 28-year-old has two sacks so far this season, but his injury has been popping up, and it significantly hurts what was a much-improved Raiders pass rush. Maxx Crosby missed a game already, too, with a high ankle sprain. The Raiders’ front has been battered, but they have somehow scratched their way to a 2-3 record with wins over the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.
