James Harrison wanted to coach for the Steelers, but he got no response.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison reacts during the NFL Super Bowl XLIII football game, Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in Tampa, Fla. would like to coach for the Steelers and even reached out to head coach Mike Tomlin, but he got no response to his inquiry. Harrison joined Ben Roethlisberger’s podcast,During the middle of the game, Harrison remarked that he wanted to coach for the Steelers , but he never heard back from Tomlin about that specific request.
It is not unprecedented for Tomlin to help out his players, either, in a post-career coaching role.
