Two Pittsburgh Steelers players returned to practice, while five others missed practice.
The Pittsburgh Steelers had ten players miss practice on Wednesday, though half were due to rest. As far as injuries, outside linebackers Nick Herbig , DeMarvin Leal , and Alex Highsmith all did not practice, and they were already ruled out by head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday. Running back Cordarrelle Patterson and safety
Tomlin ruled out Patterson, while Kazee was listed as doubtful for the game. However, while tight end MyCole Pruitt and running back were listed as doubtful by Tomlin, both logged limited practices on Wednesday. That is a step forward for both players since their injuries, and it is possible that both can outshoot their doubtful prognosis from Tomlin on Tuesday and end up playing. Warren himself says he feels great and could play.
As for quarterback Russell Wilson, he did log a full practice for the first time since aggravating his calf over a month ago before the team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Wilson worked with the second team and started running drills, including play-action rollouts, for the first time since the aggravation of his calf injury. It appears he is close, though Justin Fields is expected to start after working with the first team for all of practice.
