Not only would they win the division, but the Pittsburgh Steelers' playoff seeding could be greatly affected by a win over the Ravens.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris in action during an NFL football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers , Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024.head into Baltimore looking to clinch the AFC North, but as it stands, their seeding in the AFC playoffs could quite literally be at any seed line. Pittsburgh could finish anywhere from the first overall seed to the seventh overall seed.
If the Steelers win over the Ravens, they suddenly catapult into a guaranteed top-four seed. With the win and a Texans loss to the Chiefs, Pittsburgh will lock themselves not into a top-four seed. So, Pittsburgh’s ability to move up and down the board will likely disappear after Saturday just with the game’s results.
In a loss, they could still finish anywhere from the second to the seventh seed, however. No team has quite the range of finishes the Steelers have outside of their rivals, the Ravens. But just as important as the game is to the division and hosting a home playoff game, so is the Steelers' ability to get a higher seed and chase the Buffalo Bills and Chiefs from behind.
