The reigning and record 10-time champions are set to take on Sudanese side Al-Merrikh in a CAF Champions League Group A encounter on Friday knowing that defeat could leave the club on the brink of a shock exit from the competition.
"Pressure comes with working in Al Ahly, and since I took over the job, I have been living in this environment," Mosimane said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Al Ahly's Champions League clash against Al-Merrikh, per"Especially since the team is required to win every tournament, whether in Africa, the league, the Egypt Cup and the Club World Cup. The team is always required to win.
After Friday's match, Al Ahly will next play Al Hilal Omdurman in a clash that could determine the outcome of the group, and a fixture that sparks a run of four matches in just 12 days for Mosimane's outfit.
