In a statement on Tuesday, April 25, the Philippine Science High School System stated that the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Science High School System announced the comeback of the NCE on December 2, 2023, to assess the scientific ability, quantitative ability, abstract reasoning, and verbal aptitude of aspiring "Pisay" scholars.
