Pirates of the Caribbean and Men in Black star has died after iconic career
LEGENDARY onscreen villain Sergio Calderón has died at the age of 77 after six decades in film and televisionThe actor was known for playing the "head on a stick" held by an alien in the original 1997 version of Men in Black.
His family said he died from natural causes at a hospital in Los Angeles on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the actor's family said, per theCalderón was born in 1945 and moved from his small village to Mexico City when he was 10. That's where he began to study acting."I love to play those types of characters, because people really hate me," Calderón told the"They tell me in the streets how much they hate me. But to me, that is my success.
Calderón's first role on the big screen came in 1970, when was featured in The Bridge in the Jungle, which was shot in Mexico. Because the actor had been working as an English teacher, he was a good for the the movie marketed to American audiences.
