Jose Riveiro, coach of Orlando Pirates, reacts during the DStv Premiership 2022/23 match between Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on 30 December 2022Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has suggested that Kaizer Chiefs' wins in the past two Soweto derbies were not exciting to the spectators and cautioned referees to be at the"required level".
However, Riveiro, when asked what lessons he would take from those defeats suggested that there was not much difference between the sides and the games could have ended 0-0 and this time around they want to show"a better version" of themselves.
"With not so much goal chances or at least moments where you can really have joy, very tight and decided by details, so what I want for the next one is hopefully to show a better version of ourselves," he said. "That's what I can control or try to control, that we can play with the passion that we're used to playing in the scenario like that, it's a challenge for us because if we do it I'm sure that we can find that joy," he continued.
