Local councillors have been enthusiastic, hailing the initiative as one that could “strong social benefits” to a region facing a shortage of “early years places.” It’s an interest in early childhood that Pippa shares with her older sister.
Since 2021, Kate has been working with the Royal Foundation’s Centre for Early Childhood, which she founded herself. Her aim: to help improve the living conditions of young children, from birth to the age of five, a period she considers crucial in human development. In February, the Princess of Wales accompanied a class from All Souls College Nursery School in London on an outing to the National Portrait Gallery. There, she presented an art project designed for children. She also visited Parents and Children Together, as part of Children’s Mental Health Week in the UK. On this occasion, she unveiled a new report on early childhood development. It remains to be seen whether the wife of Prince William will be involved in any way with her sister’s preschool project.
