. A TikTok from user GarnetsGTI shows the car locking up its brakes as it slows on a small straight, failing to stop just before hitting a fence. The video's description suggests that the car's throttle was stuck, forcing the driver to brake hard in a car with no ABS and leading to the brief lock-up before the hit.
Thankfully, the car had a runway to slow significantly before the hit and the actual impact did little more than push a fence a foot or so forward. If the impact really was the result of a sudden stuck throttle, that is pretty close to a best case scenario for the Ferrari driver., making this notably destructive week in F40 history a statistical anomaly. Both cars seem to have survived the hits relatively unscathed, but the world seems to be out for Ferrari's celebrated supercar lately.
